Sheet
metal dies and plastic molds have an unpleasant
habit of sometimes knocking at your door
without their CAD data attached to them.
Usually, for tools with a few prismatic
shapes they can easily be measured on conventional
measuring tools like CMM and other contact
probe methods. Yet, most tools have lots
of freeform undefined shapes that measuring
with conventional tools could prove to be
a nightmare. Using our services can solve
all of those problems. We use either one,
or a combination of our non contact non
destructive digitizing technologies to rapidly
measure the tool which results in a dense
xyz measurement point cloud data. With this

For
example, our systems digitize a typical
4 feet by 4 feet mold or die in eight to
twelve hours depending on the complexity.
The resulting point cloud data may contain
