A major concern for casting manufacturers is keeping just the right amount of stock for machining. Too much stock means wastage and too low stock means…..well, scrapping the casting. Our process will help you easily identify the stock allowances. This is done with non contact -non destructive digitizing of a sample casting or a model and comparing the results in 3D space to the final CAD model of the finished product. The result is a color error map that shows available stock throughout the whole casting.

We also build rapid prototyped parts or models to be used as patterns or cores for casting complex shapes. Digitizing of complex castings can also be done to reproduce them, inspect them for quality control applications, or perform engineering analysis on them.
